Description
This introductory course will provide students with an understanding of the dynamics, evolution, and change of the Earth's biosphere from its origins, to the present, and into the future. Students will explore the relationships between the solar system's formation, planetary processes, and life today, while considering their impact on life in New York City. This all laboratory class will provide field observation and data collection experiences that include research practices focusing on observing, describing and analyzing various aspects of our biosphere.
